As part of its commitment to the well-being of the population, PPM Benin supported, at the end of September, the organization of free advanced pediatric orthopedic consultation days, coupled with a major awareness campaign on the prevention of rickets, in Abomey in the Zou department.
These days, open to children aged 0 to 15, provided an opportunity to screen, diagnose, and treat numerous pediatric orthopedic conditions, as demonstrated by the striking results of the "before/after" interventions carried out in the field. At the same time, awareness-raising activities emphasized the importance of nutritional prevention, highlighting the key role of vitamins, particularly vitamin D, and promoting the use of appropriate supplements such as POLYVIT ADEC in the prescribing strategies of local healthcare professionals. The approach also strengthened the presence of PPM and its team among health stakeholders, promoting access to information and the adoption of good practices in favor of child health in the region.
